LAUNCHING SUCCESS FOR ENTREPRENEURS IN JOHNSTON COUNTY

ENTREPRENEURS WANTED

Are you an entrepreneur or small business owner looking for business development services, education, resources and funding opportunities? LaunchJOCO is a county-wide collaborative initiative supporting and developing entrepreneurs and small businesses across Johnston County.

What Is LaunchJOCO?

LaunchJOCO is an initiative assisting small businesses in Johnston County by providing access to resources and networking. Some small business owners, including minorities and low-income entrepreneurs, lack the training and resources necessary to be successful, and this program seeks to close that gap.

Modeled after similar programs like LaunchMyCity, LaunchJOCO provides a proven recipe for bringing new entrepreneurship to the underserved in our county. Data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that approximately 20% of new businesses fail during the first two years of being open, 45% fail during the first five years and 65% don’t reach the 10-year mark. Only a quarter of new businesses make it to 15 years or more. LaunchJOCO is designed to give business owners the tools and resources needed to work “on” their business and not just “in” it.

LaunchNOW

LaunchNOW is a free program that helps aspiring entrepreneurs develop business ideas early in the development process.

LaunchNEXT

LaunchNEXT is a 14-week program that helps established businesses strengthen and grow in scale.

LaunchBEYOND

LaunchBEYOND is a premier program for small businesses and budding entrepreneurs.
